V članku sta na kratko opisana diamagnetni in paramagnetni odziv snovi na zunanje magnetno polje ter pojav or- bitalnega senčenja v kristalnem polju. Sledi opis bakrovih dimerov, ki so preprost magnetni sistem, za katerega se ana- litično izpelje Bleaney-Bowersovo enačbo, ki opisuje magnetno susceptibilnost spinskega dimera. Bleaney-Bowersovi enačbi se doda paramagnetni člen zaradi morebitnih nečistoč in konstanten diamagnetni člen zaradi prispevka ostalih atomov v vzorcu. S tem se sestavi preprost model za magnetno susceptibilnost realističnega vzorca, ki vsebuje spinske dimere. Uspešnost modela se predstavi s prilagajanjem eksperimentalnim podatkom.
In this paper the Bleaney-Bowers equation for copper dimers is examined. First a short introduction is made by describing the diamagnetic and paramagnetic ordering of magnetic moments. Orbital quenching is also described. Description of copper dimers and the derivation of the Bleaney-Bowers equation from the Heisenberg model of inte- raction between two half integer spins follows. In order to make a realistic model, paramagnetic term is added due to possible impurities in the sample and a constant diamagnetic term is added due to the signal from other atoms. Finally the model is tested on experimental data.
