Uporaba nevronskih mrež pri iskanju parov Higgsovih bozonov

Eksperimentalna potrditev načina nastanka parov Higgsovih bozonov je ključnega pomena pri potrditvi teorije Standardnega modela oziroma preverjanju hipotez izven te teorije. Ta članek predstavi fizikalne osnove nastanka, razpada in detekcije takšnih parov. Prikazana je tudi uporaba nevronskih mrež pri ločevanju detektiranih delcev, ki so nastali iz para Higgsovih bozonov in detektiranih delcev, nastalih iz drugih procesov.

The use of neural networks in the search for Higgs boson pairs

Experimental confirmation of the formation of Higgs boson pairs is crucial in confirming the theory of the Standard Model or checking hypotheses outside of this theory. This article presents the physical basis of the formation, decay and detection of such pairs. Additionaly it introduces the application of neural networks in the separation of detected particles created from a pair of Higgs bosons and detected particles created from other processes.
